GDS Eligibility Criteria :
Educational Qualification:
1. Candidates must have passed Class 10th from a recognized board.
2. Mathematics and English must be compulsory subjects in Class 10.
3. Knowledge of the local language of the postal circle/state is mandatory (studied at least up to Class 10).
Age Limit (as on last date of application) :
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 40 years
- Age Relaxation as per rules
Other Requirements :
- Basic knowledge of computer operations
- Cycling knowledge is desirable
- Candidate should have adequate means of livelihood
Salary (TRCA – Time Related Continuity Allowance)
Post Monthly Salary :
- Branch Postmaster (BPM) ₹12,000 – ₹29,380
- ABPM / Dak Sevak ₹10,000 – ₹24,470

Selection Process :
- No written exam
- No interview
- Selection is done based on merit list prepared from Class 10th marks
- Marks are automatically calculated to 4 decimal places
- Final selection after document verification
